COVID Update 15th June 2021
I am sure you will have all seen and heard that the planned full lifting of Coronavirus restrictions has been postponed until Monday 19th July 2021 at the earliest.
Following on from this announcement, I have received an update from the Department for Education regarding the impact this postponement has on schools and how we will operate for the final weeks of the term. Schools have been asked to keep all current protective measures in place until there is a further announcement. These protective measures include bubbles, social distancing, face coverings for adults, hand hygiene etc
The continuing risk management measures also include parents and carers when collecting children before and after school. Please continue to socially distance, wear a face covering, avoid contact with others and ensure that your children remain with you at all times.
In line with current government advice, I ask that you all be cautious about hugging close friends and family. As a local community, we have made great progress from what was a very challenging situation and we don’t want to be in a position where restrictions are once again put in place.
Finally, it is with great disappointment that all planned events in the summer term will no longer have parents in attendance. This includes sports day, new reception class transition, end of year parents meetings etc. As has been the case over the last year, we will do all we can to share these events with you virtually wherever practically possible. Please look out for details on this over the coming weeks.
If you have any questions about anything included in this update, please feel free to see either Mrs Robertshaw or me.
Thank you for your continued support.
